The current Memphis Grizzlies club is vastly different from any Golden State Warriors team from the previous 10 to 12 years. Despite winning 4 titles in the last 9 years, the Dubs have never been as haughty as the Grizzlies. Dillon Brooks, in particular, is the Memphis team’s biggest egotist.
In his brain than on the court, the man is far more of a nuisance. With the numbers he has been averaging this season, that much is very evident.
He started off as a promising young two-way guard for the young, talented team, but has since been somewhat of a letdown. Yet, he considers himself capable of berating players like Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.
Kyrie Irving, the star player for the Mavericks, though, made it a point to identify himself to him.
Kyrie Irving calls out Dillon Brooks dumb A*# defense
The most exciting days of Brooks’ six-year NBA career have recently been his back-and-forths with future first-ballot Hall of Famers like Green and Thompson. It gains momentum, though, when another game-star chose to demolish the Grizzlies’ 6’6 guard-forward. Clearly, Brooks started editing.
As Brooks attempted to stop Kyrie during the Grizzlies vs. Mavericks game on Monday night, the 2016 NBA champion immediately brought him to the ground.

Uncle Drew trash-talked the trash-talker instead of just embarrassing Brooks subtly like he typically does to players.

NBA Twitter erupted with joy as Irving destroyed Brooks in Memphis
Fans went into a mocking frenzy as soon as Kyrie started performing while Brooks tried to stop him, scoring 20 points on the Grizzlies guard at halftime while only allowing Brooks 7 on the other side.

They even mentioned how Brooks had pushed Irving in their previous meeting.
Dillon Brooks said he hoped Kyrie Irving played so he could get him all to himself, prior to the last Mavs Grizzlies game.
Kyrie played tonight and had 20 points (8-13) in the first half.

He deserves to receive this. In addition, regardless of how outstanding of an on- or off-the-ball defender Brooks may be, a player who averages well below a steal (0.8) and nearly no blocks (0.2) per game should not be taken into consideration for the All-NBA First Team.
