Woj’s tweet does not imply that Irving won’t visit Dallas in all cases. It probably indicates that there are a few more possibilities and participants present. The Brooklyn Nets have obviously been saving their best cards for last and have a couple more tricks under their sleeves.

Irving Is Definitely a Mavericks Player
The fact that Kyrie is coming to Dallas is unaffected by this Wojnarowski report. Instead, it indicates that the Nets are looking to assemble a strong supporting cast for Kevin Durant.
There is a huge hole in their lineup caused by Kyrie Irving’s absence. A gap that Spencer Dinwiddie would have a very difficult time filling. Maybe for this reason Sean Marks is delaying making it official until he is happy with the lineup.
