Two of the best basketball players of all time are Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. Both of the Lakers icons who graced the hardwood for more than 20 years were incredibly successful. Which of the two would prevail in a one-on-one match?
While Kobe retired from the game in 2016, about the same age as Bron, and left us all for good four years later in a helicopter crash that also claimed the lives of his daughter and seven other people, James is still playing at the age of 38.
However, anytime there is a debate over who would prevail in a one-on-one match between the two, we can never fail to mention the late great.
And Brooklyn Nets player Kevin Durant, who is a fan of the two athletes as much as we are, once stated who he would back to win if the two athletes ever faced off in a one-on-one match.

James, a 6′ 9″ beast of nature who hadn’t yet won a championship at the time of this interview, was the only player selected by John Wall, who was aware that he would be the only one to do so.
Although James has now won four championships and four Finals MVP awards, many people still think the Mamba was superior to James at his best.

It would be a fiercely contested matchup because both players have had a lot of success in their careers. Sadly, we would never find out who would win despite it being an excellent game to witness. However, if you had asked Kobe, he would have said that he wins it while dozing off.
