A year after he helped the Knicks get back into the postseason picture, Julius Randle is once again having an All-Star, All-NBA quality season. The Knicks aren’t doing as well even if the 2021 All-Star is posting roughly comparable numbers in the 2020–21 season.
They are now 20-18, which is excellent for the seventh-best record in the East after a victory against the Suns on Monday night. The Knicks may possibly need Randle to play even better than he does in order to avoid a Play-in tournament or a first-round exit from the Playoffs because the conference appears to be much tougher this time around.
At the MSG, though, calls for the MVP in 2021 are heard.

Julius Randle gets MVP chants in the Garden
Randle was the obstacle between the Devin Booker-less Suns and a victory as they traveled to New York in pursuit of a victory and to start a winning run.
The 6-foot-8 forward played over 40 minutes of the game and finished with 28 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists, and a steal. He was given MVP chants as he departed the Garden after the 102-83 victory. Twitter is also aware of developments.

Would it just be another hollow post-season for the Knicks?
The Knicks have that habit, so there are many different ways they might still screw everything up before the postseason even begins.
However, they can still pull through if they play respectable basketball and rely on Randle and Jalen Brunson, the 2022 recruit who was meant to liberate Julius.
Even for the money, they are receiving, they currently don’t appear to be a threat as a pair. They still have the opportunity to step up and become one of the greatest teams in the East, but they need to act soon before it’s too late.
