Sachin Tendulkar had vivid memories of the moment the famous Kapil Dev raised the World Cup on behalf of the entire country at the Lord’s Cricket Stadium balcony, much like any other child who would look up to a well-known cricketer before taking up a bat or a ball.
A kid prodigy that he was, his boyhood coach Ramakant Achrekar would even have a coin placed on top of the stumps, and challenge bowlers to dismantle Tendulkar s wicket and walk away with the coin as a reward. Of course, the bowlers had to exert a lot of effort, and they frequently came away empty-handed.

A Fall from Mango Tree Kick-started Sachin Tendulkar s Cricketing Journey

We, buddies, decided that now would be the greatest moment to eat every mango on the tree, which was not what we were supposed to do. As a result, we fell and knocked the tree over. And that marked the turning point in my professional life when my brother and the rest of the family stated enough was enough. And we re not allowing more of these complaints to come home every evening. and told you that you would be forced to burn off all your calories playing cricket. Tendulkar S Journey Begins at Bombay S Shivaji Park
As was already mentioned, it was his older brother that introduced Sachin to seasoned coach Ramakant Achrekar, who quickly began training alongside athletes who were considerably older than he was.

By the age of 12, after a year of practice, the Master Blaster had started to play every Sunday in Bombay’s Shivaji Park for as many as 13 different teams. Tendulkar would jump from one pitch to the next from daylight to night, which had made him an indispensable pick for teams.
