The pursuit of megastar status in the wrestling industry can occasionally cause tension between athletes and their families. Unquestionably, Dwayne The Rock Johnson is a renowned WWE superstar-turned-Hollywood legend.
But The Rock had to make compromises in order to claim the title of greatest of all time. Dwayne Johnson and Simone, his eldest daughter, are now no longer close. However, in a way, their friendship was enhanced by WWE.
For Gen Z, Johnson is the most famous actor in the world, but for millennials, he is best known as a legendary wrestler. Together with Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock led the Attitude Era. In 2001, Simone was born.
Naturally, The Rock didn’t spend much time at home when his wrestling career was at its height. The Great One, though, recently thanked WWE for helping to strengthen his bond with his daughter.
Dwayne Johnson discussed his connection with his oldest daughter, Simone, on The Pivot podcast. The Rock claims that he and his ex-wife Dany Garcia had Simone when he was over 30 years old.
The 10-time WWE Champion was then enjoying the results of his wrestling career and making the transition to Hollywood. Johnson was hired for The Mummy Returns in 2001 as well.
I had her (Simone) when I was young, in my 20s, and as dudes, we’re still trying to find ourselves in our 20s, in our 30s. If we’re lucky, we reach the fourth level, and we find ourselves a little bit. We get a little bit wiser. So, when I had Simone, I was flying by the seat of my pants. I was wrestling full-time, and I started transitioning into acting full-time.
The Rock wasn’t always present, despite having a good relationship with his daughter. The Rock acknowledged his gratitude to wrestling throughout the interview for enabling him to see his daughter follow in his footsteps. In his own words, WWE kept their marriage alive.
In October 2022, Simone Johnson, now known as Ava Raine, made her NXT debut. As the fourth member of the Schism group, Ava Raine was introduced. Without a doubt, the 21-year-old possesses her father’s superior genes.
Despite the fact that Raine has a lot of ground to fill, she is already proving to be a significant addition to The Schism. It is unknown when Ava Raine will make her main roster introduction.

Ava made news after joining the Schism cult, which is led by Joe Gacy. Ava also emphasized that she had not been coerced into joining the side. Raine thanked Joe Gacy for supporting her during her time at WWE’s performance facility when she was battling an injury in a promo interview for NXT.

The Rock remained silent, but Ava insulted her father by tweeting something unrelated. We know as wrestling fans that Ava was merely being true to her heel persona.
