The Houston Rockets are a long way from being in a position to challenge for a title. Only two years ago, it seemed like James Harden might stick with the team and make an effort to compete even though he didn’t have a championship-caliber supporting cast. Houston would, however, go to the bottom of the standings as soon as he forced his way out.
The Rockets are plainly tanking despite their league-worst record of 10–30 in order to choose Victor Wembanyama, the first pick in this year’s NBA Draft. However, their squad as it stands contains a lot of untapped promise. Young players who are all capable include Jalen Green, Kevin Porter Jr., Jabari Smith, and of course Alperen Sengun.
The Rockets aren’t a particularly difficult opponent for teams who are even in the running for a play-in spot, but Anthony Edwards claims that he did have to prepare for one member of their team—and it wasn’t a player who played in his position.

Anthony Edwards on The Current Frontman for The Houston Rockets
Throughout all of his post-game interviews, Anthony Edwards has always remained sincere. Ant rarely holds back when he has something to say, whether it’s criticism of himself or pointing out shortcomings in his teammates. He would then continue by saying that he thinks Alperen Sengun ought to be the Houston Rockets player while speaking of the team.
Personally, I believe they should construct around Sengun at position 28. Although Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen are franchise players as well, the latter is a real deal. We had to prepare a strategy for him.

Their offensive has a tendency to become stale when using one-dimensional weapons like Green and KPJ. Despite the fact that those two are superb players on that end of the court, they don’t exactly support a coordinated offense. Sengun utilizes his passing skills at all three half-court levels.

Anthony Edwards Isn T the Only One with This Thought
In terms of controlling offensive possessions with his natural passing abilities in the paint and at the top of the key, Alperen Sengun does play somewhat similarly to Nikola Jokic. Fortunately for him, the two-time MVP winner thinks the Rockets should utilize him more frequently.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, a two-time MVP, is a similar-thinking man to Edwards.
He is a superb athlete. Nothing can speed him up; he takes his time. He may move slowly in that post, but he is nonetheless efficient. For him, the sky is the limit.
