Donald Trump’s eldest son questioned the former’s moral code in 2022 by referencing The Rock’s double standard remark. Johnson was criticized by Trump Jr. for anticipating that his comment would be ignored. He also inquired as to whether Johnson’s rhetoric was shared by The Rock’s corporate sponsors.

Dave Meltzer said that The Rock’s comeback at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia is a possibility but not a guarantee when speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio.
When Dwayne Johnson declined this year because of scheduling conflicts, he did leave the possibility of appearing in Philadelphia at WrestleMania 40 open, according to Dave.
