The greatest signing by the Bears this offseason is DJ Moore, and according to Adam Schefter, the wide receiver was in disbelief that the Bears managed to sign him. Due to having the worst record in the league, Chicago was given the first overall pick in the NFL draft this year. There were rampant rumors and speculation that the Bears might use it to select a quarterback like CJ Stroud or Bryce Young, but those were quickly denied.
Instead, Ryan Pace, the general manager of the Bears, made the wise decision and exchanged the pick for a huge package that includes the ninth pick in this year’s draft, a second, a first in 2024, a second in 2025, and DJ Moore.
Moore was the trade’s standout player because the Bears sorely needed offensive weapons. Moore is unquestionably one of the top 10–15 wide receivers in the NFL, and the Bears received a quality addition for their money. In fact, the deal was so attractive that even Moore was taken aback by his inclusion in the trade package.
I am forever grateful for the Carolina Panthers Organization for making my Dream come true by drafting me in 18. I want to Thank all of the people from top down who have made the start of this journey special for me in Carolina

Dj Moore Was Thrilled to Be on The Same Team as Justin Fields
DJ Moore was ecstatic to learn that the Bears had acquired him in a trade because he had been somewhat dissatisfied with his tenure in Carolina.
Moore is a great fan of Justin Fields and is aware of the young quarterback’s potential despite a subpar offensive line and a dearth of wide receiver weapons.
As a matter of fact, after the Bears acquired him, he called Fields right away to convey his joy and utter disbelief at the development.
DJ Moore told @AdamSchefter that Justin Fields was shocked that the Chicago Bears got him in the trade with the Carolina Panthers.
Moore said that Fields called him within the first hour of the reported trade and told him that he was excited to work with him.

Moore and Fields Are Set to Form a Dynamic Duo
In his second season in Chicago, Fields ramped up the heat, demonstrating his sprinting prowess in particular. Fields blasted the ball when he had the opportunity, demonstrating how his passing ability had improved since his rookie season.
Now, it is hoped that Fields and Moore can grow into a potent tandem that can lead the Bears to the playoffs with the addition of a fresh arsenal of weapons, an additional season of experience, and perhaps an improved offensive line through the draft.
