A big success was the NBA All-Star draught. It was interesting to choose the players for each team before the game began. The fact that it did so well is fortunate. The humor of the NBA on the TNT crew may have contributed to the success. Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Charles Barkley were watching from the sidelines as Ernie presided over the draught.
Ernie was attempting to strike up a discussion after Giannis and LeBron James finalized the reserves. Shaquille O’Neal attempted to rush the host while LeBron and Giannis were discussing their picks with Ernie.
Ernie snapped at Shaquille O’Neal for rushing him
Shaq’s haste did not appear to amuse Ernie. The 7-foot legend was promptly called out for it by him. Ernie enquired as to Shaq’s role as the program’s producer. O’Neal was not unaffected by his remark and quickly apologized to Ernie for it. It wasn’t unexpected that Ernie managed to keep Shaq in check given that he serves as the sane voice of the NBA on the TNT show.

When Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley enter their banter zone, they typically spiral out of control and are impossible to contain. Only Ernie Johnson is capable of controlling the legends because Kenny constantly facilitates the two. There is no disputing his control over them and the spectacle.
The banter was flawless save for this one instance where Ernie had to verify Shaq. If the All-Star game stays in this format, the draught show as a whole should become a staple. While Barkley continued to roast Salt Lake City in his trademark manner, Shaq and Chuck resumed their funny commentary.
Charles Barkley roasted Salt Lake City
Charles Barkley launched into a diatribe about how terrible Salt Lake City is right before the game began. He complained that Salt Lake City was uninteresting and had nothing to do.
Chuck: “These people going to heaven. Ain’t nothing to do in this boring ass city. It’s a great city, but ain’t nothing to do here. Can’t smoke, can’t drink. These people going to heaven.”

Fair enough, Chuck’s assault on Salt Lake wasn’t at all unexpected. He has a reputation for attacking cities like this in the past. The only place where people detest Chuck for it is San Francisco. After all, Chuck has always been this way. It’s challenging to keep Chuck from wanting to say whatever he wants.
