After Kyrie Irving was moved to Dallas, Kevin Durant is the only member of the Nets’ Big 3 who is still based in Brooklyn. Kyrie’s exit from New York, arguably the biggest trade of the season, signals the end of a spectacular failure. The trio, who was anticipated to be among the strongest contenders, had no effect on the league.
It appears that Kevin Durant, the final member of the triumvirate, is also interested in being traded. However, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets already know their course of action. Before the trade deadline on February 9th, he thinks they won’t be dealing with Durant. However, Redditors think Woj’s tweets on Durant have a hidden agenda.
Adrian Wojnarowski accused of manipulating possible Kevin Durant trade
Wojnarowski’s flurry of tweets about Kevin Durant began with the assertion that the Nets would not deal him before the trade deadline. Woj wrote on Twitter:
“In aftermath of Kyrie Irving trade, the Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant are having ongoing conversations on the direction of the franchise, but organization has thus far told inquiring teams that they re not planning to trade him before Thursday s deadline, sources tell ESPN.”
The insider at ESPN then recalled Durant’s desire to move to Phoenix prior to the season. He stated that the Nets were averse to trading him to the Suns as well. However, he confirmed that many teams were still considering signing Durant. In reality, Matt Ishbia, the newest owner of Phoenix, has been trying to make the transaction, but to no effect.
Durant had interest in a deal to the Suns over the summer, but so far the Nets haven’t shown a willingness to move him to Phoenix or anywhere else, sources tell ESPN. There have been a number of teams reaching out to Brooklyn on Durant. https://t.co/xYvo5rGZCY“>https://t.co/xYvo5rGZCY

Redditors think that Wojnarowski is only attacking Kevin Durant in order to support the Nets. They believed Adrian Wojnarowski had acted similarly before the trade involving James Harden. They think he is repeating the action to increase Durant’s trade value.
Is a Possible Durant Trade on The Horizon?
Kevin Durant is unquestionably shorthanded in Brooklyn now that Kyrie is gone. He requires assistance, but the drama of the previous two seasons may have diminished his willingness to continue playing for them. He requested a release during the off-season, and it’s likely that he is still seeking one.

Despite rumors, the Nets don’t appear overly motivated to deal with him. Having already lost one superstar, they would like to retain the services of their final superstar. If need be, Sean Marks and the Nets front office will undoubtedly want a star of a similar caliber in exchange for KD.
