Redmi has officially confirmed key details of the upcoming Redmi Note 17 Pro ahead of its July 14 launch in China.
The phone will feature a massive 9,000mAh battery and a bright 3,500-nit display.
Battery and Charging
The Redmi Note 17 Pro is equipped with a 9,000mAh Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery, one of the largest in its segment.
It supports 67W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging for powering other devices.
The battery has received TÜV SÜD’s five-star multidimensional battery quality certification. Redmi also announced a complimentary five-year battery upgrade program for first-sale buyers.
If battery health drops below 80% within the first four years, users get a free replacement.
In the fifth year, if health falls below 80%, Redmi will replace it with a higher-capacity 10,000mAh battery instead of a 9,000mAh unit, subject to service terms.
Display and Durability
The Redmi Note 17 Pro features a flat display with 1.5K resolution and 3,500 nits of peak brightness.
It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has passed SGS and CQC dual five-star drop resistance certifications after a 3-metre marble drop test.
Official demonstrations showed the display surviving impacts from a football, nuts, and even a durian.
The phone also carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, and is certified by TÜV SÜD to survive 2 metres underwater for up to 72 hours.
Previous teasers confirmed dual stereo speakers and a power-efficient Snapdragon 6-series chipset. The Redmi Note 17 Pro is set to launch on July 14 in China.
