Colorful has introduced the RP600X Pro portable SSD in China, a compact storage solution with read speeds reaching up to 1000MB/s.
The drive is available in 512GB and 1TB capacities, with the 512GB model priced at 899 yuan (approximately $132).
Design and Connectivity
The RP600X Pro features a dual-connector design with both USB Type-C and USB Type-A plugs.
A three-position slider on the casing allows users to switch between ports depending on the device, eliminating the need for adapters.
The chassis is made from die-cast zinc alloy with integrated cooling grooves to manage heat during extended data transfers.
The drive measures 74 x 22 x 10.2mm and weighs about 50 grams.
Performance and Compatibility
Internally, the SSD uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface to achieve its maximum transfer speeds.
It supports Apple ProRes direct recording, enabling compatible iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and newer Pro-series iPhones to record Apple Log and ProRes video directly onto the drive.
The RP600X Pro is compatible with Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS. Colorful backs the device with a three-year warranty.
