The mid-range smartphone segment is fiercely competitive, and the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ are two strong contenders.
One prioritizes battery life and gaming, while the other focuses on premium design and camera versatility. Here's how they compare.
Design and Display
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 features IP68/IP69K protection and MIL-STD-810H certification, giving it a rugged, practical build.
Its design is minimalist and performance-oriented.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ takes a more premium approach with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and eco-leather or glass-fiber finishes.
It looks flagship-inspired with curved edges and a refined camera module.
Both phones have AMOLED displays with 3840Hz PWM dimming for comfortable nighttime use. The Nord CE 6 offers a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming.
Redmi counters with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and richer color reproduction. Its peak brightness is also high, making it better for streaming content.
Performance and Battery
Both devices run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset with Adreno 810 GPU, delivering similar daily performance.
The Nord CE 6 uses UFS 3.1 storage for faster app loading and file transfers.
Redmi uses UFS 2.2 storage, which is slightly slower during heavy tasks. However, HyperOS 2 offers more customization and features.
The Nord CE 6 packs an 8000mAh battery, easily lasting over a day for heavy users. It also includes bypass charging for gamers.
Redmi has a 6500mAh battery with faster 100W charging, allowing quick top-ups. The OnePlus battery is more practical for endurance and travel.
Camera Capabilities
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ leads with a 200MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Photos have more detail, dynamic range, and versatility.
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 relies on a 50MP stabilized main camera for consistent colors and exposure. It lacks an ultrawide lens.
Both phones record 4K video, but the Nord CE 6 supports 4K selfie video, ideal for vloggers. Redmi's selfie camera is limited to 1080p.
Verdict
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 wins for battery life, gaming features, and smoother performance. It offers better value at around $330.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ excels in camera hardware, display quality, and premium build. It costs around $360 but provides more storage and RAM options.
Your choice depends on priorities: battery and gaming go to OnePlus; cameras and multimedia go to Redmi.
