Danny Glover has revealed he has been living with Alzheimer's disease for years.

The 79-year-old actor shared his diagnosis in an interview with former NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt.

Glover said his speech, movements, and memories have slowed since the diagnosis. He remains active physically and mentally but acknowledged that things will change as the disease advances.

The Lethal Weapon star became a household name playing nearly-retired LAPD officer Roger Murtaugh, famous for the line, "I'm too old for this s***."

He also starred in The Color Purple and earned the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, as well as the NAACP's President's Award.

Glover said he has strong support from his family, adding, "I could live with it, in a sense."
