Timex has introduced a special-edition Marlin watch to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The Marlin America 250 is now available on the company's official US website for $169.
The watch features a 34mm polished stainless steel case, measuring 9.5mm thick.
This size is notably smaller than typical modern men's watches, which usually range from 38mm to 42mm.
Timex intentionally chose this smaller footprint to replicate mid-20th century watch sizing.
The dial has a silver-white background with a commemorative America 250 logo.
The color scheme draws from the US flag: deep blue for partial Arabic numerals, a red sweeping second hand, and blue and white for the hour and minute hands.
The main hands include standard luminescent paint for basic visibility in low light.
A domed acrylic crystal covers the dial. While modern watches often use mineral glass or sapphire, acrylic was standard in vintage watches.
It scratches more easily but is highly impact-resistant, and minor scuffs can be buffed out with polishing paste.
The watch is powered by a standard battery-operated quartz movement using an SR626SW battery. It comes with an 18mm blue leather strap featuring a crocodile-grain pattern.
The strap has quick-release spring bars, allowing easy swapping without tools. It fits wrist circumferences between 5.9 and 8.1 inches.
The Marlin America 250 offers a water resistance rating of 30 meters, suitable for hand-washing or accidental splashes but not for swimming or diving.
