National Guard members were seen outside Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night, closing off streets around the arena just days before Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding party.
Video footage shows a large presence of National Guard personnel and a meeting between NYPD and Guard members near the venue.
A National Guard representative told TMZ that 1,000 members operate daily in New York City and are being dispatched to Penn Station, Grand Central Station, and other crowded areas for patrols — but this deployment is not connected to Swift's wedding.
The wedding celebration, set for July 3 at Madison Square Garden, is expected to be a high-security event.
Swift and Kelce have reportedly spared no expense, with NDAs, curated menus from top restaurants, and A-list performances planned.
