Former President Joe Biden launched a blistering attack on President Donald Trump during the Maryland Democratic Party Gala, mocking Trump's renovation of the White House Reflecting Pool.
Biden called Trump a 'loser' for what he described as vanity projects, including putting his name on the Kennedy Center, building an arch in his own honor, and hiring a personal pool guy to fix the Reflecting Pool.
He went further, stating the Reflecting Pool reflects 'something even worse than the narcissism and incompetence at the core of this administration' — corruption on an unprecedented scale.
The speech is one of Biden's sharpest critiques since leaving office, accusing Trump of prioritizing self-promotion over governance.
The Reflecting Pool renovation has faced issues, including vandalism, duck deaths, and algae problems that required hydrogen peroxide treatment.
A fence was also installed to secure the area.
The White House has not yet responded to requests for comment.
