Oliver Tree's team has fulfilled his final wishes by launching a foundation in his name, just weeks after his sudden death.
The Dr. Oliver Tree's Extremely Epic Art Grant for Baby Geniuses foundation was announced Friday on his official Instagram account.
The post stated that Tree was on a mission to unite people through art and inspire other creators.
The nonprofit foundation provides grants to successful applicants for projects in music, film, installation, and performance art.
According to the foundation's website, projects should reflect the spirit of Tree's work created in collaboration with board members during his lifetime.
Tree had outlined his intentions on the "Zach Sang Show" months before his death.
He said he wanted all his money to go back to artists, adding that his future family would not inherit his wealth.
"I'll get my kids through college, that's the agreement, but there's not gonna be a silver spoon," he explained.
Tree, 32, died along with five others in a helicopter collision in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil earlier this month.
A celebration of his life and memorial service will be held on July 25 at the UCSC Quarry Amphitheater in Santa Cruz, California.
The event will also be streamed live.
